Portugal’s national airline TAP Air Portugal offer flights from a number of British airports to destinations in Portugal. Flights start at around £22 economy class one way, excluding tax. There are dozens of other operators offering services to the country, including: Lufthansa and British Airways, as well as an increasing number of budget flight operators such as Bmibaby, Jet2 and Easyjet.

Flights from London to Lisbon take approximately two hours and thirty minutes, and Lisbon’s international airport offers everything that would be expected including bus, train coach and taxi services into the city – bus services run from 0530 to 0100 and taxi services incur an additional charge after 2200. Also offered is car hire, restaurants, bars, shops, medical facilities and a bureau de change, amongst other things. The same kind of facilities are to be expected of Portugal’s other international airports, which are located in most major cities.
